What I collect
When you fill in a form, I receive what you typed — your name, contact details, where you live, and your message. I also record when you submitted it and the page you were on, so I know what you were reading when you got in touch.
What I never ask for
No Social Security number, no Medicare number, no bank or card details. Nothing on this website asks for them, and you should be suspicious of any website that does. If we work together and an application genuinely needs that information, it will be collected through the insurance company's own secure system, not through a form here.
Analytics
I measure which pages get read and which links get used, so I know what's worth writing more of. That measurement is my own — it runs on this website, sends nothing to Google, Meta, or any advertising network, and doesn't follow you to other sites.
Your IP address is used to work out a rough region and to stop automated abuse, then discarded rather than stored alongside your visit.
How it's stored
Form submissions and any notes I keep are encrypted, so they aren't readable even to someone who obtained a copy of the database. Access is limited to me.
Who else sees it
I don't sell your information and I don't share it with anyone for their marketing. If you decide to apply for coverage, the details needed for that application go to the insurance company you're applying to — that's the point of applying. Nothing goes anywhere else without you asking me to send it.
Contacting you
If you tick the box on a form, you're agreeing that I can reply by phone, text, or email about what you asked. That's it — you won't be added to a marketing list. Tell me to stop at any time, by any method, and I will.
Your information, on request
Ask me what I hold about you and I'll tell you. Ask me to delete it and I'll do that too, except where I'm required to retain records — insurance and Medicare rules oblige me to keep certain documents for a number of years.
Financial privacy (GLBA)
As an insurance producer I'm required to tell you how I handle non-public personal information — the financial and health details you share when we work on coverage together.
What I collect: what you tell me directly, what appears on an application or enrollment you complete with me, and what a carrier reports back to me about a policy you hold.
Who I share it with: the insurance carrier or plan you're applying to, and nobody else — except where the law requires it, or where a service I use to run this practice necessarily processes it on my behalf (email delivery, calendar, secure hosting). I do not sell your information, and I do not share it for anyone else's marketing. There is no affiliate network here to share it with.
Opting out: because I don't disclose your information to anyone for their own use, there's nothing to opt out of. If that ever changes, you'll be told first and given a genuine choice before it does.
How it's protected: physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards — in practice: encryption in transit and at rest, sensitive fields encrypted separately again, access limited to me, and an access log for anything containing your health or financial detail.
This applies to former clients as well as current ones. Ending our working relationship doesn't change how your information is handled.
Your rights over your information
Utah's Consumer Privacy Act gives Utah residents the right to ask what personal information a business holds about them, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted where no law requires it to be kept. I extend the same rights to everyone I work with, wherever you live. Exercise any of them by emailing or calling me — there's no form, and I won't charge you or treat you differently for asking. Insurance and Medicare record-keeping rules oblige me to retain some documents for a number of years, and I'll tell you plainly if that's the reason something can't be deleted.
Children
Nothing here is directed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this notice
If this changes materially, the date below changes with it and the new version is posted here. Nothing changes retroactively for information already collected.
